He is survived by: his wife Vera M. Burkholder (Nolt); his children, Kenneth Burkholder (Mary Ann) of Gordonville, Leon Ray Burkholder (Doris) of Ephrata, Eugene Burkholder (Julia) of Robesonia, Richard Burkholder (Mary Jane) of New Holland, J. Michael Burkholder (Ruth Ann) of New Holland, James Burkholder (Marilyn) of Abbeville, SC, Charles Burkholder (Joy) of New Holland, Vera Jane Hursh (Kenneth) of Ephrata and Cheryl Hursh (Robert) of Ephrata; his siblings, Titus Burkholder of Ephrata, Frank Burkholder (Eva) of Ephrata and Arlene Horst of Stevens; his sisters-in-law, Ada Mae Burkholder and Mabel Burkholder; and his stepmother Anna Burkholder. He is also survived by 62 grandchildren, 108 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Viewing was held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fairmount Homes Farm Crest Chapel (1100 Farmcrest Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Groffdale Mennonite Church (90 Groffdale Church Rd, Leola, PA 17540).
