He was predeceased by: his spouse Nguyen Thi Thu; and his parent Huynh Man. He is survived by: his daughters, Chau of New Holland, Huong Truong (Thuy Tran), Hong Bich of West Chester and Van Nguyen (Hong Phuc) of Rehoboth Beach. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
