He was predeceased by: his wife Elva M. Martin Newswanger; his parents, Amos Newswanger and Lydia Reinhart Newswanger; and his siblings, Walter, Paul, Edith Seibel Good, Raymond, Elsie Martin, Amos Jr., Lester and Richard.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Martin (Delmar) of Mohnton, R. Bruce Newswanger (Tim Portolese) of Elkhart, IN, Audrey Wandel (Henk) of New Holland and Glenda Groff (Eric) of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Kristina Flewelling (Brian), Kimberly King (Anthony), Ryan Martin (Tina), Eryin Wandel (Alyssa), Erika Eby (Logan), Erin Bailey (Eric), Taylor Groff and Ethan Groff; his great grandchildren, Ariana, Sophia, Elliott Flewelling, Olivia, Tyler, Madison, Dylan King, Judah, Eva, Jase Martin and Jamison Eby; and his sister Anna Ginder.
