She was predeceased by : her father Frederick Cook; and her siblings, Wendy and Freddie. She is survived by : her mother Betty Cook; her husband Dan; her children, Ian Vaughan and Kelli Matthews (TY Jr); her grandchildren, Sloane, Layla and Bryson Matthews; her sister Karen Molk (Fred); and her nephew Zachary.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rj Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1000 Freeport Rd, New Kensington, PA 15068). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.

“Mrs Vaughan, that’s what we called you in valley. You were our substitute the best one we could ask for and our leader. Your personality was always happy and positive and I had the most respect for you and cared about you. This is so rough for me and my little sister Sierra Sweitzer she went to valley as well. I haven’t seen you in a long time and when Sierra told me you were still at valley I was so happy she had the chance to meet you. We love you so so much, appreciated everything you did for us, we looked up to you and hope your loved ones heal and keep your memories long lasting.
