He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Skoda and Mary Skoda (Balsega); his wife Valerie Skoda (Bowser); his children, Erin Skoda (Adam Thimons) and Matthew Skoda (Anna); and his grandchildren, Sydney Skoda, Charles James Skoda, Isaac Thimons and Ada Thimons.
