He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Vokes and Agnes Payonk Vokes; his wife Joan Weaver Vokes; and his siblings, Glenn Sr., Joseph Sr., Howard Vokes, Elizabeth Ann Peterson and Margaret Kratzer.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Lee (Carol), Lois Kolek (Joseph) and Tammy Gatto (Fred); and his siblings, Eugene Vokes Sr., Barbara Beere, Josephine "Josie" Rakes and Jane Callahan. He is also survived by three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
