She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Jacob V. Buffington; her parents, Guy Groft and Genevieve Groft (Strausbaugh); her daughters, Diane Benedict (Michael) of New Oxford and Virginia MacAvoy (Jody) of New Oxford; her grandchildren, Holly McWhorter (Jason, Derek Benedict), Jared MacAvoy (Kathleen Martin) and Alison Mummert (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Payton, Kylie, Maddox McWhorter, Tessa Benedict and Zeke Mummert; and her siblings, Doris Staub of Hanover, Mary Louise May of McSherrystown, James, Raymond, Francis, Richard Groft, Janet Smith and Marlene Aumen.
