She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis J. Smith and Margaret R. Smith (Staub); her daughter Jacquelyn R. Lawrence; and her siblings, Joseph, John, Burnell, Bernard Smith, Mary Miller, Joanne Reese and Patricia Spinelli.
She is survived by: her husband Stephen M. Carbaugh; her children, Catherine A. Carbaugh of New Oxford, Judith E. Garrett (Robert) of Emmitsburg, MD, Mark L. Carbaugh (Jennifer) of Biglerville and Lori A. Lawrence (Andrew) of McSherrystown; her grandchildren, Julian Dravk, Bethany Altland, Mallory Sourbeer, Drew Altland, William Altland, Christopher Carbaugh, Mark Carbaugh, Jr., Maggie Lawrence and Adam Lawrence; her great grandchildren, Liam Altland and Mila Sourbeer; her brothers, Frederick G. Smith of Dover and Michael D. Smith of New Oxford; and her extended family Linda Harris of New Oxford.
