It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nyella Branch of New Park, Pennsylvania, born in White Hall, Maryland, who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Emerson Hammond and Alphonsus Hammond (Buchanan); her husband Ernest Branch, Sr.; her son Lloyd Kevin Branch; and her granddaughter Octavia Branch.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Branch, Ernest Branch, Jr. (Christine), Catherine Rice (David), Brenda Branch and Patricia Branch; and her sister Geraldine Buchanan of York, PA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the West Liberty United Methodist Church (20400 W Liberty Rd, White Hall, MD 21161). A burial was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Pine Grove United Methodist Cemetery (20105 Kirkwood Shop Rd, White Hall, MD 21161).
