She was predeceased by: her husband Mark Schertel; her parents, Christoph Appold and Anna Appold (Schneider) of East Greenville; and her brother H. Frederick. She is survived by: her son George; and her brothers, Michael, Christopher and Walter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (1879 Applewood Dr, Orefield, PA 18069).
