Lester E. Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lester E. Smith (Newport, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ray E. and Margaret Smith (Seiders); his sons, Richard E. Smith (Barbara) of Harrisburg and Leon L. Smith (Margie) of Lewistown; his grandchildren, Peter L. Smith of New Cumberland, Brian C. Smith (Fell) of Valley Forge, Heidi Payne (Bill) of Harrisburg and Richelle Sigafoos (Mike) of Harleysville; his great grandchildren, Travis, Nate Payne, Roman, Mckenna Sigafoos and Summer Smith; and his brother J. Carl Smith. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church, Hope Eternal United Methodist Church.
