With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Dyer (Newtown, Pennsylvania), born in New Portland, Maine, who passed away on March 23, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his daughter Debbie Fritz. He is survived by : his wife Janet; his daughters, Pamela Shaffer (Richard) and Lisa Sommer (Dennis); his grandchildren, Thomas Fritz, Jr. (Mackenzie), James Fritz (Demi Rivers), Andrew Shaffer (Erika), Sara Doran (Will), Amanda Samanka and Jessica LePree (Shawn); his great grandchildren, Amelia Fritz, Cassidy, Bennett Shaffer, Dylan and Cameron Doran; his brother Norman Dyer; and his siblings-in-law, Jill Low of Raleigh, NC and Lyndon Atwood of New Portland, Maine. He is also survived by his family and many friends.

The military honors will be held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery (830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940).

In lieu of flowers, please make donations, if you wish, in his name, to a charity of your choice.
