She is survived by: her children, Michael J. Cawley III, Brian Cawley (Lisa), Eileen Cawley Paynton, Kevin Cawley (Stephanie) and David Cawley (Melissa); and her siblings, Anna Mae Spillane, Frances Boyle, Winifred Crehan and Brendan O'Grady.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association.
