He is survived by: his wife Sally Diane Smelko (Sprague); his daughter Tina Brown (Thomas) of North East; his siblings, Robert Smelko, Larry Smelko and Delores Smelko; his grandchildren, Shannon Chrispen (Adam), Leann Brown (Kale Asp) and Thomas J. Brown (Samantha); and his great grandchildren, Emery, Riley, Aggie and Elsie.
