He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Mellquist and Vivian Mellquist (Fitch); and his siblings, Alan Mellquist, Violet "Smokey" Hammers and Leatrice Benson.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Mellquist (Virga); his children, Alan Ayers (June), Ann Ayers and Jenny Steiner (Marc); his sister Mona Kearney; his grandchildren, Aleasha Waite, Faith Waite, Roger Ayers and Parker Snyder; his great grandchildren, Jaiden, Elise, Tristen, Jaylynn and Caleb; and his granddaughter Serenity.
