She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Szklenski and Feliksa "Elsie" Szklenski (Osiecki); her brothers, Michael, Stanley and Edward; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Bryan, Rosemary and Jason.
She is survived by: her husband Carl Slater; and her children, Carl Slater (Lynn) of Ohio, Diane Slater of Erie, Robin Boyd (David) of North East, Bryan Slater (Geraldine) of North East, Gerald Slater (Carmen) of Virginia and Douglas Slater (Amanda Moodie) of North East. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home (65 S Lake St, North East, PA 16428). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at the Grahamville Cemetery (2615 Cemetery Rd, North East, PA 16428, USA).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the North East Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary or Community Nursing Services of North East.
