He was predeceased by: his parent Esper Beter; his wife Emma M. Betar (Elias); and his siblings, Rose Koury, Mary Bryan, Helen Jacobs, Elizabeth Sam, Virginia DiPrimio, Abraham Beter, Eli Beter, Thomas Beter and Richard Beter.
He is survived by: his parent Mary Beter (Obade); his children, Susan D. Berton of North Huntingdon, Peggy A. Morgan (Kenneth) of North Huntingdon, Sandy L. Kuchma (Terry) of North Huntingdon and Cindy L. Betar of North Huntingdon; his grandchildren, Nathan Morgan (Jaclyn) and Stacie Sill (Robbie); his great grandchildren, Ainsley Morgan and Joshua Sill; and his sister-in-law Mae Beter of Irwin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the food pantry at First Presbyterian Church, Irwin.
