It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John W. Bales Jr. of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bales and Elizabeth Rader Bales; and his siblings, Catherine Alvarez, Jane Bales, Caroline Twale, Glenn and Charles Bales.
He is survived by: his wife Deloris Jean Derr Bales; his children, John C. Bales (Karen), Sue Ann Jacobs (Douglas) and Janice Durmis (Charles); his grandchildren, Jessica, John, Rachel (Louis), Mitchell (Sara), Nathan, Joshua (Ava) and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Ivana, Isaac, Sarah, Vincent, Madeline, Connor and Brooks.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. (176 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at the Jefferson Memorial Park.
