She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Hornfeck and Ada Carlson Hornfeck; and her husband Laimon Kalning. She is survived by: her children, Greg Kalning (Madalyn), Doug Kalning (Diane), Lisa Howerton (Scott) and Linda Kalning; and her grandsons, Mitchell Kalning (Cati), Matthew Kalning (Courtney), Marshall Kalning (Madison), Jimmy Howerton (Sofia), Nicholas Kalning and Jacob Kalning.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Marla's name to the Westmoreland County Food Bank.
