She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

“My wife and I didn't get to know Arlene (and Bob) that well, but it was always a pleasure to talk with her if she was out at the time of walking past her home. I particularly remember talking with her one day when she was watching over very young deer twins that the mother had temporarily "parked" on her front lawn for safe-keeping. Those deer and many others to follow were enjoyed as frequent visitors to her property. Paul & Joyce Andreas”
