He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hughes and Rosalie Hughes; his siblings, Allen and Carol Pawelski; and his brothers-in-law, Frank and Ray.
He is survived by: his wife Carol R. Hughes; his children, Edward Hughes (Carrie), Suzanne Cerruti (Michael) and Kimberley Rapone (Jeff); his grandchildren, Domenico, Julianna (Jake), Theresa, Megan, Sarah, Scott and Justin; and his sibling BethAnne Rufo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph's Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Avenue, Flourtown, PA 19031, in honor of Ed's compassionate spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others.
