He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Serina and Ann Serina; and his sibling's children, Ted Lockwood and Jennifer Garcia. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie"; his children, James V. Serina Jr. (Joyce) and Siobhan Jones (R. Eric); his grandchildren, Tess, Victor and Michael; his sister Jo Lockwood (Ted); and his niece Serena Peters (Kevin).
