He was predeceased by : his wife Anne; and his siblings, Mildred, Nedah, Irvin (Bud) and Elmer.

He is survived by : his sons, Russell, Jr. (Kay) and Rick (Kathy); his granddaughter Monica; and also, Charles and Sean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
