He was predeceased by : his parents, John F. Flynn (Jack) and Phyllis M. Flynn. He is survived by : his daughters, Sharon Flynn (Martin Hilliard) of Baltimore and Bridget Sibley (Ross Workhoven); and his granddaughter Sophia Marie Sibley of Manhattan Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in John's honor to the YMCA of Oil City or The First Presbyterian Church of Oil City.
