It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Daugherty of Oil City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Simpson and Kathryn Blake Simpson; her daughter Amy; her son-in-law Gregory Smalley; her adoptive son John Williams; and her siblings, Mary Villar, Joan McGinty, Sandra Hutchinson, Joseph Simpson, Charles Simpson and Robert Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Daugherty (Cynthia) of Erie, Patrick Daugherty (Mary Kay) of Erie, David Daugherty (Kelli) of Oil City, Mary M. Walters (Dennis) of Oil City, Christine L. Knox (Michael) of Oil City and Audrey Smalley of Cooperstown; her grandchildren, Jessup (Anna), Melissa, Eli (Marissa), Adam, Kim (Dan), Stacy (Tim) and Angela; and her great grandchildren, Katelyn, Kaleb, Kaiden, Nathan, Leah, Emelya, Brittnay, Todd, Danielle, Chase, Devyn, Chealsea, Keeley, Jon, Caitlyn and Haley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reinsel Funeral Home (116 Bissell Ave, Oil City, PA 16301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory (116 Bissell Ave, Oil City, PA 16301).
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, the Salvation Army or to St. Joseph Church.
