He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilbert Confer and Minnie Reese Confer; and his siblings, Myrtle, Mary, Dorothy, Ethel "Peg", Annamae, Florence, Violet and Wilbert.

He is survived by : his wife Emma Elizabeth Blauser; and his children, Deborah Boyles (Tom) of Heber City, UT, Donna Felmlee (Dave) of Oil City, Brenda Oneil of Seneca, Brian Confer (Bonnie) of Edinboro and Sharon Vecchioni (Tom) of Annapolis, MD. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy 1140 Liberty St. Franklin, PA. 16323.
