He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank O. Yount and Stella L. Yount (Troup); his children, David Yount and Christine Yount; and his siblings, Jack, Earnest, Donald, Frank, Grace, Josephine, Ruth Ann, Kathryn, Ruby and Mary.

He is survived by : his children, William Yount Jr. of McBain, Michigan, Barry J. Yount (Mary Ann) of Oil City and Billie Jo VanEpps of Oil City; his grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Barry Yount II (Kerri), Rachael Knight, William Yount III, Miranda Yount, Katrina Yount, Deanna Yount, Nicholas Tracy and Elizabeth Tracy; and his great grandchildren, Raquel Knight, Benjamin, Barron Yount, Thomas, William Graham, Ava Ritchey and Arianna Maria.
