Johnston and Ann Marie "Nancy" Johnston (Wetzel) of Williamsport; his siblings, Julie Johnston-McManus of Cogan Station, Jayme Johnston (Cindy) of Forrest, VA and Rodney "Buck" Johnston (Janet) of Lynchburg, VA; his siblings' children, Jeanine Johnston, Jake Johnston (Alexis), Mitchell McManus, Stone and Christian Riddle; his great-nieces, Ella and Caroline; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Ann Stark of Williamsport; and his sister-in-law Jo Stark of Williamsport.
