She was predeceased by : her parents, Kermit Heim and Mary Heim (Lydon); her husband Richard J. Masler Jr.; her grandson Timothy Wert; and her son Rick Schaffer.

She is survived by : her children, Scott Schaffer (Kathy), Brian Schaffer (Judy), Sharon Fehr (Charles), Nadine Morgan (Herm), Kim Heisler and Lisa Picard (Tony). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
