It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter J. Bensinger of Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Clara L. Bensinger (Grube); his parents, Irvin Bensinger and Martha Bensinger (Amour); and his brothers, Irvin, Charles and Ronald Bensinger.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Bensinger (Michelle) of New Ringgold and Donna Zacharias (Allen) of Lehighton; his sisters, Nancy Watkins of Hazleton and Faye Ketner of Schuylkill Haven; his grandchildren, Ryan (Bonnie), Nina, Aaron, Sheridan Bensinger, Megan Gauntlett (Trevor), Kenny, Benjamin, Jackson and Molly Zacharias; and his great grandchildren, Vivian and Nathaniel.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Christ Church (6 S Race St, New Ringgold, PA 17960). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Christ Church Benevolence Fund.
