He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Lender and Wava Lender (Brickley); his siblings, Janet Wardman, Carol Gunter and Eugene Lender; and his grandson Joseph Lee Hockenberry.

He is survived by : his wife Laura E. Lender (Rowles); his daughters, Sherrie L. Hockenberry of Philipsburg, PA and Jackie L. Tkacik of Woodland, PA; his siblings, Delores Ralston (Alen) of Osceola Mills, PA, Kathy Molta (Tom) of Buckley, WA, Alton Lender (Kay) of Clearfield, PA, Darold Lender (Carolyn) of Osceola Mills, PA and Kenneth Lender of Osceola Mills, PA; and his grandchildren, Jason Hockenberry and Katie Hockenberry Twoey.
