He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell Cowfer and Erma Cowfer of Osceola Mills, PA.; his wife Patricia Whisenant Cowfer; his daughter Connie Davis; his stepmother Helen Cowfer; and his siblings, Rick Cowfer and Louise Cowfer Vaughn.

He is survived by : his grandchildren, Carla Evans (Jason), Derrick Davis and Brittany Setser (Ben); and his brother George Cowfer (Kathy). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
