He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon K. and Bertha E. (Oakes); his wife Susan M. Gates; his son Michael V. Heidler Jr.; his grandson Joey Mummert; his brother-in-law Robert Zerby Sr.; and his nephew Robert Zerby Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Brumbaugh, Michelle Berkheimer (Roger), Tammy Stern (Rick) and Missy McCreary (Ron); his stepchildren, Andrew Walter, William Dicken, Samantha Dicken and Nila Dicken; his daughter-in-law Gerri Heidler; his sister Ruth M. Zerby (Heidler); and his niece Beth. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.
In leu of flowers, contributions may be given to the funeral home.
