He was predeceased by: his parent Walter Bennett; his son Douglas Bennett; and his brothers, Charles Bennett, Dale Bennett and Don Bennett.
He is survived by: his spouse Harlene Shelton Bennett; his parent Mamie Greer Bennett; his son Tom Bennett (Barb) of Oxford; his grandchildren, Tommy Bennett, Taylor Bennett (Brandon Damico), Travis Bennett, Michael Bennett and Brianne Bennett; his great grandchild Trevor Bennett; and his sisters, Pauline Himm, Wanda Ward and Betty Bennett.
