Carol R. Shafer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol R. Shafer of Palmer Township, Pennsylvania, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 12, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Warren Ray and Dorothy Ray (Wittershagen); her husband George D. Shafer; her daughters, Cynthia Shedlock (Michael) of Palmer Township and Laura Durrant (Donald) of Bridgewater, NJ; her brother John Ray; her grandchildren, Nicole Sanchez (Nicholas), Megan Shedlock, Matthew and Ryan Durrant; and her great grandchildren, Cameron and Jackson Sanchez.
A viewing will be held Tuesday 6-8pm in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough, with 25 people allowed in the building at one time, following social distancing and mask requirements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
