He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Cavanaugh Sr. and Mary Sweet; his stepmother Sarah Cavanaugh; his wife Angela Macias Cavanaugh; his sons, Luke and Ryan Cavanaugh; and his siblings, Gregory, Gloria Cavanaugh, Jonathan and Jessica Sweet.
