He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Cassel and Mary Wunderlich (Hostetter); and his brothers, Richard E. Cassel and Harold L. Cassel. He is survived by: his uncle Spencer Cassel (Kate); his wife Irma J. Cassel (Shirk); and his children, Gregory A. (Joni Cassel), Vicki L. (Kevin Groft), David S. Cassel, Thomas L. (Lorraine Cassel) and Frederick C. Cassel. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra, PA 17078.
