He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chernov and Ann Chernov (Kasper); his sister Charlotte Storlazzi; and his cousins, Paul Chernov and Larry Perlman.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Ann Chernov (Joulwan); his children, Stephen R. Chernov of Enola, James J. Chernov, Tara Chernov-Hamm (Kerry) of Tamaqua and Geoff J. Chernov (Yelena); and his grandchildren, Jonathan Chernov, Alyssa Chernov, Alisabeth Chernov, Briana Hamm (Will Ahner) and Haley Hamm.
