With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Hoffer of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 9, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Hoffer and Mabel Hoffer (Smith); his son Benson Hoffer; his granddaughter Karynne Myers; and his brother Lester Hoffer.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Hoffer; his children, Deborah Ellis (David), Steve Hoffer (Elaine), Peter Grubich (April), Paula Finkbone (William) and Bill Hoffer (Beth); his daughter-in-law Debbie Hoffer; and his sister Lorraine "Liz" Brandt. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 11AM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 in compliance with the COVID-19 regulations.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Caring Cupboard, 131 N. Railroad St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
