He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Bixler and Christine A. Bixler (Harter); and his brother Gerald Bixler. He is survived by: his girlfriend Jane Goudy; his children, Rebecca DePaul, Sarah Bixler and Scott Bixler; and his siblings, Robert Bixler (Barbara), Janet Amos, Dianne Wade, Elizabeth "Betty" Mills and Phil Bixler.
