She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Thomas Roosevelt Dickerson, Jr.; her children, Michael David Carter and LaToya Audrey Carter; her grandchildren, Londell Michael Smith and LaTonya Renee Smith; her siblings, Leonard, Michael Smith (Florence), Charles Smith (Bridgette), Malika Smith (Anthony Shipp) and Joseph; her siblings-in-law, Edward Dickerson (Donna), Gordon Dickerson (Charlene Fortson) and Chere McCauley (Marc); and her parents, Audrey Lee Smith and Joseph Melvin Smith, Sr.. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
