He is survived by: his spouse Kathryn; his children, Joseph Jr. Rukat (Debbie), Kathy Sylba (Jeffrey) and Neil Rukat (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Heather Simmons (Todd), Kathy Smith (Daniel), Laura Ann Lusk (Josh), Mitchell Rukat and Grant Rukat; and his great grandchildren, Emily Simmons, Dylan Simmons and Tanner Lusk. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League.
