He was predeceased by: his brother Charles J. Menk. He is survived by: his wife Judith; his sons, Thomas J (Lisa) and Daniel J. Menk (Cindy); his grandchildren, Lindsay and Ashley Menk; and his stepgrandson Brian Christensen.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lazarus Fund of Pittsburgh Presbytery, 901 Allegheny Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
