He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Carey and Katherine Carey; his wife Yvonne R. Carey; and his siblings, Edward, Thomas, Patsy and Kathleen.
He is survived by: his children, Rita Hirsch (Paul), William Carey Jr. and John Nickl; his grandchildren, Anna Franko (Chris), Danielle Bonacci (Zach), Ashley Carey, Christopher Carey, Matthew Nickl (Victoria), Heather Wilt (Eric) and Jennifer Nickl (Alden); and his great grandchildren, David, Chelsea, Bradly, Olivia, Alden and Elliana.
