It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aleyamma Varughese (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, K. M. Thomas (Mariamma Thomas) and Kerala; and her husband Abraham Varghese (Appapan). She is survived by: her children, Raju, Shaji, Mini and Jessly; her children-in-law, Sally, Silgy, Viju and Sinjo; her grandchildren, Melissa, Messina, Shelby, Sheen, Shane, Shemil, Ashny, Shanya and Olivia; and her siblings, Baby, Thankachan, Achenkunju, Gracy, Leelamma and Babu. She is also survived by oldest child of seven siblings and the first daughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Thomas Orthodox Church (1009 Unruh Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Forest Hills Cemetery (101 Byberry Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006).
