He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Rudolph (Rudy) and Victoria Purnell Hudson; his daughter Lydia Hudson; and his siblings, Catherine Purnell, Yvonne Collick and Morgan Hudson, Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Julia Hudson; his daughters, Florence Victoria Beasley (Robert), Shelia Brown (Milan), Tonja Macon (Adam) and Justine Hudson; his siblings, Vivian Smith, Shirley Beckett, Daniel (Lorraine) and Oliver Hudson (Rose); his children, Kesha Smith, Shareese Reynolds, Ronnie Dillard, Angelo and Harold Wood; and his friend Robert Johnson. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
