He was predeceased by: his father Luis Jimenez; and his brother Ramon. He is survived by: his mother Graciana Torres; his children, Lynnette, David Jr., Robert, Christina, Michelle, Michael and Leyanani; his stepchildren, Nelson, Jesus, Jessica and Cruz; his wife Maria Alvarez; and his siblings, Maria and Orlando. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
