He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Achuff and Georgianna Achuff. He is survived by: his children, Helene Shields (John) and David Achuff; his grandchildren, Eveny, Alexi, David, John, Natalie and Aubrey; his mother-in-law Helen Schweiker; his brothers-in-law, William Schweiker and Thomas Schweiker (Kate); and his brother Joseph. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Diabetes Association.
