It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Francis J. Nessel (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Charles and Leonard; and his parents, William Nessel and Claire Nessel. He is survived by: his wife Adele; his children, Frank Nessel (Lori), Lynne Nessel-Killion (Bob), Mark Nessel (Christine), Christopher Nessel (Kimberly), Lisa Nessel and Matt Nessel; and his siblings, Rev. William Nessel and Rosemarie Graham. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Anselm Catholic Church (12670 Dunks Ferry Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154). A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, via check, and mail directly to St. Anselm's Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154, .
