He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret C. Mau and Fred Mau; and his former wife Karla Mau (Hinterkoff). He is survived by: his wife Maureen Mau; his sons, John Maxwell Piccolo, Blake Maxwell Piccolo and Brandon Mau (Sadie); his grandchild Bryson Mau; his sisters, Dolores Mau and Margaret Friel; his brother-in-law Don Friel; and his nephews, Colin and Connor Friel. He is also survived by uncle to his nephews.
